Papua is
covering by large rainforest growing of about 75% of
the area, with thousands of unique flora and fauna.
Other prevailing ecosystems include steamy mangrove
forest and savannah right through to alpine
highlands with snow-capped mountains. Wildlife
abounds and includes some of the most interesting
creatures known to man. This also holds true with
the magical beauty of West Papua's coastal
underwater world, which hosts some truly amazing
coral reefs.
Humidity : 84%.
Rainfall : between 2,000-3,000 mm per year.
With a
large range of the rainforest spreading up to 75% of
the area, Papua climate seems a little different
from those in the central of Indonesia. Papua has
significant rainfall rating compare to other areas.
Weather characteristic is mostly raining in the
afternoon with sometimes a strong cloudy and windy.
Most
suitable time for visiting the Papua are from Middle
of April to end of October. However it seems a
little change in fact with the weather at the
tropical land like Papua and other part of
Indonesia. During these seasons we are not
confirming that 100% no rain, at major part of the
highland area - we may mention that there is
unpredictable.
Temperature during the dry season may reach up to
33degree celcius, while within the wet season or
cold season the temperature down about 17 celcius
